The video shows Britney in a comical and improvised question and answer session with VMA host, Russell Brand. It also features LL Cool J, FNMTV host/ Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, and a 9,000 pound elephant!

Britney’s fans are hoping that she will perform again at the awards this year, for no other reason than to make up for her disastrous performance last year!

Despite 17 nominations Britney has yet to walk away with a VMA. This year she has been nominated under two categories for the song Piece of Me from her last album Blackout : Best Pop Video and Best Female Video.

MTV’s Video Music Awards 2008 will air live from the legendary Paramount Pictures Studios in Hollywood on September 7 at 9 pm. They will be hosted by British comedian Russell Brand and include performances by nominees Lil Wayne and the Jonas Brothers.

Lindsay Lohan said Friday that police have no business getting involved in her personal life, a day after the police chief explained that the paparazzi were no longer an issue — in part because the 22-year-old actress had evidently “gone gay.”

“Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate,” Lohan said in a video shot by paparazzi Friday and posted on TMZ.com. In the footage, Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson are trekking through the Los Angeles Airport on their way to catch a flight to Chicago.

The day before, Chief William Bratton said the paparazzi have become less of a problem thanks to Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lohan leading more moderate lifestyles.

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue,” he told KNBC-TV.

Bratton was speaking about his refusal to participate in a meeting held by elected officials Thursday that was called to discuss new laws to curb problem paparazzi.

He called Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine’s special session — which was attended by the likes of John Mayer, Eric Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia — “a complete waste of time.”

Bratton later called a news conference outside police headquarters to clarify his position on the paparazzi. When asked about the Lohan remark — which followed months of tabloid speculation that Lohan and Ronson, a DJ, are dating — Bratton said his sister is gay and he is a proponent of gay rights.

An ambulance was called to the 24-year-old singer’s house in Camden, north London and she was taken to the accident and emergency unit at University College Hospital at around 8.40pm.

Police were stationed outside her house as Winehouse was brought out in a wheelchair while wrapped in a blanket and given oxygen. Her father Mitch Winehouse was with her.

Her spokesman Chris Goodman said: “Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to hospital.

“Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow.”

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at approximately 8.40pm to an address in NW1 to reports of an adult female taken unwell.

“We sent an ambulance and a fast response car and the patient has been taken to hospital.”

A hospital spokesman said Ms Winehouse was in a stable condition and medics would make a decision whether to discharge her this morning.

The spokesman added they expected her to go home tomorrow if she has a comfortable night.

Mr Winehouse entered the hospital at around 11.50pm and asked reporters and photographers to leave the family alone.

When asked how serious his daughter’s condition was, he held up a bag of KFC and replied: “This is how serious it is.”

Winehouse, who is being treated for an addiction to crack cocaine, is also suffering from emphysema and was admitted to hospital after collapsing at her home last month.

Mr Winehouse said in June: “It’s in its early stages, but had it gone on for another month they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there with a mask on her face struggling to breathe.

The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her.”

Pop star Britney Spears must increase her child support payments to ex-husband Kevin Federline by $5,000 a month as part of a custody settlement agreed to Friday.

Under the terms of the deal approved by Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, Spears will pay a total of $20,000 a month to the former backup dancer.

She will also pay his $250,000 legal bill from lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan.

The custody agreement leaves her two sons — Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 — in Federline’s custody but expands her visitation rights.

The agreement calls for Spears to have the children for a second overnight visit each week beginning in the fall.

Spears’ attorney said the performer was “at peace” with the agreement.

“She couldn’t be happier about it, actually,” said her attorney, Laura Wasser.

“She’s going to see her kids more.”

Spears has monitored visits with the toddlers three days and one night each week.

Spears, 26, lost custody of the boys last year after her behavior became erratic.

In January, after the singer was hospitalized for psychiatric problems, a court appointed her father, Jamie, conservator of her and her estate.

Kaplan did not return a call seeking comment, but he told City News Service, “It’s a great relief [for Kevin] to have this two-year ordeal behind him.”

The agreement averts a trial scheduled for August.

Wasser said negotiations concerned money and visitation rights but not Federline’s custody of the children.

“We would never have sought a modification of legal or physical custody while she’s under the conservator ship,” Wasser said.

Attorneys for Spears and her father are due in court July 31 to discuss continuing the conservator ship.

Madonna and Britney Spears are set to perform a bondage routine together.

The pop superstars - who caused controversy when they shared a kiss at the MTV Music Awards in 2003 - will appear in bandages which they will remove to reveal tiny bondage pants and knee-high boots.

The footage, which will include the pair gyrating against each other, will be screened to fans on Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet world tour via giant video screens.

A source said: “It is classic Madonna, probably the raunchiest stuff she has ever done. It leaves nothing to the imagination and it will be very controversial.

“Britney and Madonna are unwrapped like mummies to appear together almost naked apart from tiny leather bondage pants and knee-high boots. They then dance closely together, pressing their hands and bodies together.

“There will be big rows over whether it is sexy, shocking or both.”

The pair will perform a mix of Madonna’s track Beat Goes On and Britney’s Piece of Me.

Britney will also dance to Madonna’s 1995 hit Human Nature, which will include one scene where she loses her mind after getting stuck in a lift.

The source added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “We’ll see her going crazy in an enclosed space - screaming, pulling her hair and banging her fists against the lift’s walls as it gets stuck between floors. She really loses it.”
