Ashley Alexandra Dupre, otherwise known as Kristin, has not only become a well known name overnight, but is also an instant sensation as the fifth-most searched person on Google.Ashley Alexandra Dupre, otherwise known as Kristin, has not only become a well known name overnight, but is also an instant sensation as the fifth-most searched person on Google.
The woman who brought down former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer has become one of the top searches on Internet giant Google.Kristin, whose real name is Ashley Alexandra Dupre, released a blog of her biography as well as a few songs. Pictures from her MySpace and Facebook pages were posted on media Web sites all across the globe.
Shortly after the New York Times identified her, the activity on her Web profiles suddenly disappeared. The call girl, who is currently center of the sex scandal, immediately cleaned up her web pages and has gone into hiding.
Dupre isn’t shy though, she did respond to critics on her web pages, and its probably safe to say that she had the last laugh.
While Dupre probably created her profiles hoping someone would discover her music on the Internet, there is no such thing as privacy when joining one of those social networking Web sites. After all , she was discovered, but not for the real reason she eventually wanted to be found.
However, planned or unplanned, her music was played on the Internet and highly distributed. Most people believe she will be picked up by a record label because sex sells.
Penthouse and Hustler are also knocking on her door.
“We’ve been looking at that very closely. She’s young. She’s pretty. She’s a model,” said Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt. “We would love to do business with her, and we will approach her.”
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse will perform at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
The London-based artist will perform directly before headliner Jay-Z on the Pyramid stage at the Somerset festival on June 28.
Earlier this month, the 24-year-old was told she would not face charges over video footage which appeared to show her inhaling fumes from a crack pipe.
Britney Spears’ former boyfriend paparazzo Adnan Ghalib got some attention recently after a blog entry posted on photo agency JFX’s website claimed Ghalib was attacked and stabbed Saturday night.
According to the message, the incident involving the 36-year-old U.K. born photographer, who reportedly received numerous death treats over the last several weeks, happened while he was returning from a night out. While he is now recovering after receiving medial attention, his attacker hasn’t been found yet.
“He received a stab wound to his arm, facial lacerations as well as a nice shiner. I’m not sure what to make of this considering that he’s received more and more death threats in recent weeks. Is it coincidence? I don’t know. But in the ever-growing Adnan-hating world that some blogs live in, the repeated venom spewed at him could have finally boiled over to the real world. … Hopefully, the attackers will be found and brought to justice,” reads the post, whose author’s name isn’t clear.
In the meantime, several remarks made by Kathy Griffin, who was spotted shopping at Victoria’s Secret recently accompanied by Ghalib as part of the highly anticipated show “My Life on the D-list,” raised new questions regarding Britney’s love life.
“As far as I know, Britney is still attracted to him,” Griffin reportedly said. Although the pair hasn’t been seen in public since March, when Britney dumped Ghalib after discovering several compromising messages on his phone, Griffin claimed she was shocked by “the astonishing number of calls Adnan took from a ‘private caller’ whose name rhymes with Prlitney Splears,” during the afternoon they spent together.
Toni Braxton is on the mend and in “good condition” following a health scare.
The 40-year-old “Un-Break My Heart” singer was admitted to Las Vegas’ St. Rose Dominican Hospital for chest pains Monday night.
The six-time Grammy winner, in Vegas headlining a five-nights-a-week show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, is currently listed in good condition and is expected to be released later Tuesday.
But according to a Flamingo rep, Braxton won’t be able to go on with her Revealed show right away.
“We wish Toni a quick recovery and would like her to take the time she needs to regain optimal health,” said Don Marrandino, the resort’s president . “We are looking forward to her return at the end of the week.”
The singer’s agent at ICM, Mark Seigel, would not comment on Braxton’s hospitalization.
Though several reports have erroneously claimed that Braxton was taken to the hospital immediately after a performance, there was no Revealed scheduled for Monday. (The show is dark on Sundays and Mondays.) Hotel officials also clarified that Braxton was not at the casino at the time.
While there hasn’t been any further details released on her present ailment, Braxton has previously admitted suffering from a condition called pericarditis, an inflammation of the lining of the heart, which she was diagnosed with four years ago.
In a January interview with Newsweek, Braxton said she periodically suffers from heart flutters and high blood pressure.
Since her disclosure, Braxton has since been named a spokeswoman for the American Heart Association.
