Amy Winehouse’s dad slams relapse reports. Mitch Winehouse has responded to claims that his daughter is on the verge of decline after spending time in rehab.

Mitch says, “Staying out ’til 5am is what people her age do, she hasn’t relapsed.”

Amy was recently reported to have stubbed out a cigarette on her face after she was repeatedly asked not to smoke at a restaurant. She had also allegedly snorted vodka during a night out with her friends.

Her dad is convinced that the “Rehab” singer’s best friend Kelly Osbourne will be a positive influence on her.

He adds to Closer magazine, “If she’s with Kelly there’s no relapse. Kelly’s a drug counselor, so Amy’s completely safe with her.”

Amy Winehouse Camp Hits Back

When a United Nation’s panel released a report criticizing “celebrity ‘endorsement’ of drug-related lifestyles,” they seemed to be talking about Amy Winehouse, a singer in the British tabloids more for her partying than for her songs, although one of them was a screed against rehab.

Over the weekend, another U.N. official stepped up to the plate for a more specific whacking. From an Op-Ed by Antonio Maria Costa, the executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, in The Observer:

Amy Winehouse might adopt a defiant pose and slur her way through ‘Rehab’, but does she realise the message she sends to others who are vulnerable to addiction and who cannot afford expensive treatment? Are such stars who flaunt their drug use aware of the damage caused by the trafficking of cocaine from South America via Africa to Europe? One song, one picture, one quote that makes cocaine look cool can undo millions of pounds’ worth of anti-drug education and prevention.

Why is this behaviour socially acceptable? If Ms Winehouse advertised fur coats or blood diamonds, there would be a backlash, yet when she is the poster girl for drug abuse, nobody seems to care.

But the Winehouse camp was not taking this laying down, as these remarks via CNN showed:

Winehouse’s spokesman, Chris Goodman, called Costa a “ludicrous man.”

“Amy has never given a quote about drugs or flaunted it in any way,” Goodman told the newspaper. “She’s had some problems and is trying to get better. The U.N. should get its own house in order.”

The U.N. might argue that its recent push against celebrities was part of getting its house in order on drug control. Was it a wise move?

Depp, Farrell and Law step in to finish Ledger film

Work on Heath Ledger’s last film, suspended due to his death by accidental overdose in January, has resumed after three Hollywood stars agreed to play his character, director Terry Gilliam said on Monday.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will step in to complete Ledger’s unfinished role in the movie “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” which is due for release next year.

“Since the format of the story allows for the preservation of his entire performance, at no point will Heath’s work be modified or altered through the use of digital technology,” said the film’s producers in a statement.

“Each of the parts played by Johnny, Colin and Jude is representative of the many aspects of the character that Heath was playing.”

Gilliam said filming on the British-Canadian production had resumed in Vancouver “with the blessing and support of Heath Ledger’s family”.

Ledger had just finished shooting scenes for the movie in London before his death. Newspapers have reported that the story involves a magical mirror that takes people into different dimensions, allowing Gilliam to switch between actors.

“I am delighted that Heath’s brilliant performance can be shared with the world,” Gilliam said.

“We are looking forward to finishing the movie and, through the film, with a modicum of humility, being able to touch people’s hearts and souls as Heath was able to do.”

“The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” is described as a modern-day fantasy adventure and has a budget estimated at $30 million.

Exorcist for Amy Winehouse

euro drunk euro trash amy winehouse rehab singer gossip on zooped.com now she needs an exorcist just put the pipe down trash and sing

Troubled soul singer Amy Winehouse could get rid of the devil and be saved from self-destruction by the worlds foremost exorcist, Rev Bob Larson.

Larson, who has conducted more than 10,000 exorcisms over 30 years, will seek the 24-year-old star out during a forthcoming visit to Britain and is looking forward to help Winehouse from being destroyed.

Amy Winehouse is in my opinion possessed, The Daily Star quoted Larson, as saying.

She is obviously suffering from drug addictions and other problems but the likelihood is that is not all.

People are more susceptible to being possessed when they have bruised souls and I think Amy is a classic example, he added.

Larson, whose Spiritual Freedom Church is based in Denver, will appear later this month on Virgin 1s shocking new series The Real Exorcist, which follows the demon slayer around as he carries out dangerous exorcisms on camera.

According to Larson, he could be the best person to help self-harming Winehouse.

People in show- business are extravagant we know that, he said.

But when they become completely self-destructive it is contradictory to what they should be doing with their talent. When this happens you have to ask whether it is the devils work. After all, that is what the devil sets out to do destroy.

This is obviously just a long-distance diagnosis and Im not passing judgment. But in her case there are a lot of similarities to possessed people. I would love 15 minutes with her to see whether I could help her.

A lot of the time people appear utterly ordinary to the outside world but inside they are in living hell, he added.
