I Love Money

In the best TV news I’ve heard since J.Lo’s announced her new “docu-series”, VH1 has concocted another reality mash-up and I am about to piddle myself with excitement. It’s called “I Love Money” and if you weren’t sold on the name alone, allow me to elaborate.

VH1 is pulling a “Real World/Road Rules Challenge” and bringing back the most desperate, the most devious, the most drunken contestants from their stable of shows (”Rock of Love”, “Flavor of Love”, “I Love New York) and tossing em’ into a house as they compete for $250,000.

Think about what these people did for “love” and now throw in cold, hard cash, and get ready to watch some serious shizz go down. Obviously they brought back my favorite VH1 faux-star of them all, Heather from “Rock of Love”. I thought for a while during season two that the big brains were going to give the girl her own show on which to find love, but this is way better.

Joining Heather in the money pit will be her season one buddy, Rodeo, and from season two, Megan, Destiney and Brandi C. But I am actually looking forward to seeing Heather go toe-to-toe with “Flavor of Love’s” Pumpkin. Oh, and they totally brought back Toastee too. I give her 15 minutes in the house before she’s a drunken mess–and that’s giving her the benefit of the doubt.

But there are lots of boys to mix it up too. “I Love New York” seems to have supplied the most contenders vying for the cash seeing as Whiteboy, Real, Mr. Boston, Heat, The Entertainer, Chance and 12 Pack will be competing.

The two biggest surprises: Hoopz from season one of “Flavor of Love” (thought she would have better things to do) and Midget Mac from “I Love New York.” That midget is gunna be in trouble if water factors in to a challenge, remember when he almost drowned?!?!

Oh July 13, you can’t come quick enough. Rest assured this is going to be one show I’ll be talking about all summer long!

Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur won’t be adding a mirrorball trophy to her collection of prizes — the actress was eliminated Tuesday from “Dancing With the Stars.”

She and her professional partner, Tony Dovolani, came into the semifinal results show in last place, with 52 points out of 60. The couple divided the judges Monday with their quickstep and rumba, earning 26 points for each performance.

Judges’ scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which couple is eliminated each week.

Winokur, who has worn a glowing smile throughout the competition, kept grinning even after she learned her fate.

“I’ve never felt sexier in my life. Just going through this ride, I feel like I can pretty much do anything,” said the full-figured Winokur, adding that she “wanted to prove to people that you don’t have to be a size zero to dance.”

“I want everyone to go out and do something fun,” she said as the credits rolled on the ABC dance-off. “Do something that makes you feel sexy and shake what your mama gave you.”

Tuesday’s show also featured a tribute to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” with Omarion singing a medley of hits from the 1980s album as dozens of dancers performed some of Jackson’s signature moves.

The show’s tiniest competitors, the ballroom kids, also returned to dance floor. One of three preteen couples will be crowned junior champions during next week’s season finale.

Usher is set to perform on the final show, as are the celebrity dancers who’ve been eliminated during this season’s competition: Mario, Marlee Matlin, Priscilla Presley, Adam Carolla, Steve Guttenberg, Monica Seles and Penn Jillette.

Finalists Jason Taylor, Kristi Yamaguchi and Cristian de la Fuente will do their last dances Monday, and one will be named season champ on Tuesday.

cutie ramiele malubay gets cut from idol zooped says she has a bright muisc road ahead of her music news gossip

It was Ramiele Malubay’s turn to bow out of “American Idol” on Wednesday when the hit TV talent show’s fans gave her rendition of “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” the fewest votes in this week’s Dolly Parton-themed competition.

Judge Randy Jackson pronounced Malubay’s performance both “pretty good” and “kind of alright,” while the blunt Simon Cowell termed it “forgettable” and “reminiscent of something you would see and hear on a cruise ship.”

Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White, the latter making her first appearance near the bottom, rounded out this week’s three lowest-ranked contestants.

Jackson correctly predicted that it would be Malubay’s time to go, while Cowell offered that America got it “absolutely right” in their weekly vote.

The show also featured a performance by this season’s first mentor, Parton, who performed “Jesus & Gravity” on the live broadcast.

The nine finalists opened the show with a group performance of Parton’s hit “9 to 5,” while each selected a Parton song to perform on Tuesday’s show before the fans voted for their favorites.

Malubay, 20, from Miramar, Florida, conceded earlier in the show it had been “a little” difficult for her to connect with country music.

“American Idol” pits singers against one another in a months-long competition. Past winners like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood have gone on to music stardom, as have some runners-up, including Clay Aiken.

One of Utah’s most famous entertainers is giving a local “American Idol” contestant advice on enjoying the experience.

Donny Osmond says he’s spoken with 17-year-old David Archuleta of suburban Murray in the past week and told him he should just relax.

“Just enjoy the process because it is 15 minutes of fame, so enjoy every (one) of those 15 minutes,” Osmond said.

Archuleta is one of nine remaining singer-contestants on Fox TV’s popular show.

Osmond says Archuleta could have a long career in entertainment if he takes advantage of the “American Idol” appearance.

“But you’ve got to ride that wave as long as possible and then reinvent yourself - continually reinventing yourself,” he said.

Osmond, 50, has been in the entertainment industry since he was 6, beginning with appearances on “The Andy Williams Show.” Since then, he’s had chart-topping hits, acted, hosted variety, talk and game shows and starred on Broadway.
