Lindsay Lohan said Friday that police have no business getting involved in her personal life, a day after the police chief explained that the paparazzi were no longer an issue — in part because the 22-year-old actress had evidently “gone gay.”

“Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate,” Lohan said in a video shot by paparazzi Friday and posted on TMZ.com. In the footage, Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson are trekking through the Los Angeles Airport on their way to catch a flight to Chicago.

The day before, Chief William Bratton said the paparazzi have become less of a problem thanks to Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lohan leading more moderate lifestyles.

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue,” he told KNBC-TV.

Bratton was speaking about his refusal to participate in a meeting held by elected officials Thursday that was called to discuss new laws to curb problem paparazzi.

He called Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine’s special session — which was attended by the likes of John Mayer, Eric Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia — “a complete waste of time.”

Bratton later called a news conference outside police headquarters to clarify his position on the paparazzi. When asked about the Lohan remark — which followed months of tabloid speculation that Lohan and Ronson, a DJ, are dating — Bratton said his sister is gay and he is a proponent of gay rights.

Paris Hilton has sparked rumors that she and her new boyfriend Benji Madden are engaged. The socialite was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger. The ring featured Madden’s initals, “BM.” The couple has been dating nearly a month. They were introduced by Hilton’s pal Nicole Richie, who is engaged Benji’s twin brother Joel Madden.

Paris Hilton celebrated her birthday by stripping down, posing in leather and lace and climbing in a giant champagne glass while dressed in lingerie.  Lindsay Lohan went completely bare and has posed nude for a photo shoot.  The two former friends appear to have picked the same holiday weekend to try and boost their careers by flashing their bodies in what will surely be called a desperate cry for attention.

Hilton was working the “Pussycat Doll” routine in Las Vegas for her twenty-seventh birthday.  She went for the whole S&M look for a bit before stripping down for her lingerie photo shoot.  The girls went to the trouble to sing “Happy Birthday” to the dog-toting socialite.

Lindsay made her attempt to look like Marilyn is what can easily be dubbed as a pathetic failure.  To make matters worse, according to celebrity website TMZ.Com, LiLo brought along her little sister Ali Lohan to look on and see what her life will be like if she follows in the footsteps of her older sister.  Where is White Oprah?”

Just over a year ago, Lindsay and Paris were together playing with Britney Spears and were captured by photographers after a rough night of partying all in the same car.  Fifteen months later all seem to be in free fall.  Can stripping solve their problems?

Blogging might be a leisure activity for many famous personalities but it has brought fame to people like India-born Om Malik who has been named as one of the global web celebrities by American magazine Forbes.

Ranked at the 12th position for technology blogging on the list of “Web Celeb 25″, he shares the limelight not just with fellow bloggers but also with video hosts and gadget gurus.

A chemistry graduate from St. Stephen’s College in India’s capital New Delhi, Malik is the brain behind the website ‘gigaom.com’ and has also served as a technology journalist for various publications.

“Om Malik has a long history as a tech journalist, writing for outlets including Business 2.0, Red Herring and The Wall Street Journal (he was also one of the founding staffers of Forbes.com). But true web celebrity status didn’t come for the Indian-born writer until 2001, when he started his own technology blog, GigaOm,” Forbes said.

On the other hand, twenty nine-year-old Perez Hilton alias Mario Lavandeira, who runs the website ‘perezhilton.com’, is at the top of the heap.

“Hollywood stars fear the wrath of Perez Hilton, a controversial gossip blogger with a poison pen… His blog is hugely popular, despite recent missteps, including erroneously reporting the death of Fidel Castro,” the magazine said.

Pointing out that Malik frequently appears in the media on television as a technology expert, Forbes added that his popular website has received funding from sources including San Francisco-based venture firm True Ventures.

Meanwhile, according to forty one-year-old Malik’s website, he has also been a venture capitalist for a brief period.

“… Few months in the VC (venture capitalism) business made me realise how much I missed the world of writing and reportage, and I went to work for Red Herring where (at least I thought) I could apply my extensive knowledge and insight into the world of venture capitalism and cutting-edge technologies,” Malik said on his website.

Interestingly, one of the web celebrities is Dan Lyons - none other than the editor of Forbes itself. However, he is ranked at the 17th position in the name ‘Fake Steve Jobs’ (fakesteve.blogspot.com).

Dan Lyons started a pseudonymous blog, posing as the alter ego of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. “For a year, the satirical site attracted fans, growing in popularity - and the tech and media worlds boiled over trying to figure out who was behind it.”

In August 2007, The New York Times outed Lyons as the author; in October, he released a book, Options: The Secret Life of Steve Jobs, a Parody, under the pseudonym “Fake Steve Jobs.” the report said about its own editor.
