Things are evidently so bad between Lindsay Lohan and her lesbian lover Samantha Ronson that LiLo is confiding in British reporters!

News of the World’s Dan Wootton claims that Lohan confided in him:

“Things are very difficult at the moment. I’m just trying to work out what to do.”

Wooten says that Lindsay made that statement to him in a London nightclub after a huge “bitch fight” with Samantha.

The report also says that Lohan is tired of Ronson’s control over her, and that Lindsay still claims she isn’t a lesbian.

“Linds is on the brink because Sam won’t leave her side. Whenever she does, Lindsay’s on the phone telling her mates that she’s decided she’s not a lesbian,” another friend at the club said.

“Of course she still has feelings for Sam — but she also feels like she has to escape.”

If this story was about any other celebrity, then I might not believe it. Lindsay, however, loves to confide in the media. It must run in the family, because so do her parents - Michael and Dina Lohan.

Samantha Ronson, along with her rumored girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan, snubbed her own birthday celebrations on Tuesday night. The two reportedly abandoned the party to avoid photographers.

Ronson and her twin sister, Charlotte, threw a double celebration at the Bowery Hotel in Los Angeles in honor of their 31st birthdays.

But Ronson and Lohan were said to have left the party early after a swarm of photographers arrived outside.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, “Charlotte and Sam do this party every year with (publicist) Amanda Silverman.

“The photographers must have caught on because they were outside the hotel. Sam and Lindsay were livid and just left to go do their own thing.”

As her relationship with Samantha Ronson continues to heat up, Lindsay Lohan is taking time out to remember the other special people in her life: her fans.

“I want to thank you all for writing me and being supportive of things that are going on in my life,” the actress, 22, wrote on her MySpace blog Wednesday.

In the entry, Lohan talks about having four days at home in Los Angeles after whirlwind travels to Chicago, Brussels and Miami, where she spent time with Ronson’s family.

“In 4 days I am back off to NYC to start shooting 3 more episodes of Ugly Betty,” she writes. “The cast of the show is really great and fun to work with and I enjoy shooting in NY.”

In the hit ABC comedy series, Lohan plays a girl who went to high school with of America Ferrera’s Betty Suarez.

Actress Lindsay Lohan and her close friend Samantha Ronson have vowed never to talk about their relationship, insisting it is a “private matter.”

The pair has often been photographed holding hands and cuddling, leading to speculation that they are more than just friends.

DJ Ronson insists that the way their relationship has been documented in the media is often incorrect, but she refuses to clear up rumors they are a couple.

She tells Harper’s Bazaar, “I stay away from the tabloids. I’m not going to talk about Lindsay because she’s my friend, you know? She’s great. She’s also 22 years old. I think people forget that.

Lohan has also broken her silence about her relationship with the 31-year-old, but only to insist that she will never divulge any of their secrets.

Referring to her friend’s family, she says in an e-mail to the publication, “I love the Ronsons. They’re close to my heart and I respect all the work they do. Samantha and my relationship is a private matter.”

Lindsay Lohan thrilled one young cancer sufferer when she phoned in to a radio fund raiser to say hello.

Los Angeles radio hosts Saint John and Keri Steele interrupted their Friday morning 104.3 MYfm radiothon for the city’s Children’s Hospital to take a call from the actress.

Lohan, who is a regular celebrity visitor to the hospital, phoned in when she heard the hosts chatting to a young patient, called Edna, who she recently met.

The thrilled teenager was left speechless when she heard Lohan’s voice.

The actress said, “Are you nervous to be on the radio, because I am.”

Upon hearing that Edna is slowly getting better, Lohan added, “I’m glad that you’re doing well and everything’s good.”

The star went on to admit that a trip to the Children’s Hospital can be a very daunting experience: “It’s an amazing place, but, for me, it was very overwhelming to see children in so much pain. … It was nice to play games with them and make children really happy.”

The surprise caller then insisted she’d spend the day urging all her family and friends to call into the radiothon and donate cash for the hospital.

Lohan had another surprise in store for her young fan — she offered to take Edna on a shopping spree.
