Lindsay Lohan’s father won’t give her away if she marries girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Michael Lohan - who claims he hasn’t been told about plans for Lindsay to marry DJ Samantha later this year - doubts he will be involved in the ceremony if his daughter does tie the knot.

He said: “I haven’t heard anything about an upcoming wedding from Lindsay, but if she was marrying Sam, I don’t think she’d ask me to walk her down the aisle. “She knows about my Christian faith - she just wouldn’t ask.” Michael insists he does support Lindsay’s relationship with Samantha and simply wants her to live a joyful life.

He added: “I want her to be happy and healthy and stay on the right path. If I discuss her relationship, I say that I want her to be happy.” Last week, it was claimed Lindsay and Samantha were planning to exchange vows at a private Los Angeles ceremony. It is believed the nuptials could take place in November around the same time Lindsay releases her new album ‘Spirit in the Dark’.

Lindsay Lohan said Friday that police have no business getting involved in her personal life, a day after the police chief explained that the paparazzi were no longer an issue — in part because the 22-year-old actress had evidently “gone gay.”

“Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate,” Lohan said in a video shot by paparazzi Friday and posted on TMZ.com. In the footage, Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson are trekking through the Los Angeles Airport on their way to catch a flight to Chicago.

The day before, Chief William Bratton said the paparazzi have become less of a problem thanks to Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Lohan leading more moderate lifestyles.

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue,” he told KNBC-TV.

Bratton was speaking about his refusal to participate in a meeting held by elected officials Thursday that was called to discuss new laws to curb problem paparazzi.

He called Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine’s special session — which was attended by the likes of John Mayer, Eric Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia — “a complete waste of time.”

Bratton later called a news conference outside police headquarters to clarify his position on the paparazzi. When asked about the Lohan remark — which followed months of tabloid speculation that Lohan and Ronson, a DJ, are dating — Bratton said his sister is gay and he is a proponent of gay rights.

Confirmed by her father, Michael Lohan, and denied by her representative in a statement to Entertainment Tonight, it’s not really clear what happened, if anything, to actress Lindsay Lohan Friday in New York.
In a report by the New York Post beginning “it could have been the worst clip of her career” (oh what a clever play on words!), Michael Lohan is quoted telling the newspaper his daughter was hit by a motorcycle, “outside a club on 32nd Street” after attending a party with girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
“She’s not hurt. That’s all I really care about,” Lohan stated.
According to an employee at Beth Israel Hospital quoted by the paper, Lindsay was treated for injuries sustained in the accident, before being released at 4:00am the next morning.
Picked up and run with on Saturday by every online news source with a weekend editor, ET Online later reported the report to be false, quoting Lindsay’s publicist Leslie Sloane saying, “”I spoke to Lindsay and she said this didn’t happen.”
So, what gives?
Why would Michael Lohan, who’s developed over the years a propensity (as well as profiting considerably) for dishing on his eldest daughter, suddenly give an erroneous account to the New York Post? If the accident didn’t occur, what are we to make of the hospital source quoted in the newspaper’s story? Was she perhaps hospitalized for a different reason?

Lindsay Lohan’s mother and sister have laughed off reports that the actress is a lesbian, insisting the rumor is just the latest in the long line of silly stories the press fires at the family.

The “Mean Girls” star has been linked romantically to pal Samantha Ronson for some time and now Dina and Ali Lohan are speaking out about the gossip.

In an interview to promote her new reality show, “Living Lohan,” Dina tells TV show Extra, “Samantha’s an amazing girl,” while Ali adds, “They’re best friends. They’re just friends. It’s pathetic what people say.”

Dina explains, “It’s so silly. We actually laugh about it now. It really does hurt … but you develop a thick skin. You have to ignore it.”

The interview ended abruptly when Extra reporter A.J. Calloway asked Dina about her relationship with her estranged husband, (and Lindsay’s father) Michael. The family publicist objected to the personal question and ended the chat
