Perennial Father of the Year candidate and new Jon Gosselin BFF Michael Lohan called the LAPD early this morning to report a break-in at Lindsay’s house.

Michael claims a safe was ripped off the wall and a couple of watches were taken from Lindsay Lohan. Michael also believes it’s “an inside job” since the people that work for his anorexic waif daughter “failed to turn the alarm on.”

“I am not going to put up with individuals violating my family,” Michael said, ironically since he spent several years in prison for fraud, was estranged from his own kids for some time, and is generally one of the shadier characters around.

“Lindsay is a charitable, generous person that always gives,” he continued, also ironically since we all know what Lindsay gives with astounding frequency.

“This is a personal violation and it has got to stop.”

A source on scene says that three men were captured by surveillance video breaking into Lindsay’s house in the Hollywood Hills. Lindsay came home early
this morning (3 a.m., natch), discovered the break-in and called … Michael.

LAPD officers are currently on the scene investigating. Michael says that in addition to the safe being ripped out of the wall, bags, shoes and jewelry were taken as well.

The police have yet to officially confirm these or any details.

Lindsay Lohan’s house was also broken into in May. The suspects were captured on surveillance video and left after presumably being scared by the alarm.

Mom Dina Lohan said Lindsay was planning to move even before last night’s break-in occurred: “[sister Ali Lohan] and Linds just left me in New York, and left people in charge to pack, as we are moving her to a safer place.”

We already got a peek at Britney Spears Sunday night out in LA, but apparently once inside the club, she met up with her old friend Lindsay Lohan. The starlets were close a few years ago before each one went through some personal issues. They were all smiles during their evening out though, and according to Life & Style, they danced and chatted at the Grand Star Jazz Club until 3 a.m. LL was out celebrating her new role, while Britney was just enjoying time at home before she’s off again on the next leg of her Circus tour.

Lindsay Lohan goes Platinum Blonde for her new role

In response to the rumor that Lindsay Lohan is pregnant, the sassy starlet simply laughed. E! quotes the red-headed spray-tan purveyor as saying, “Hahaha.” It was probably her uterus scoffing at the idea that an egg could survive in her emaciated womb.

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson is enjoying life as a free woman, posing for fans at a DJ gig at Angels & Kings in Chicago Thursday night, something she never did when she was dating Lindsay.

A spy dished, “[Sam] was very friendly with all the lesbians there. When they hit on her, she flirted right back with them!” Sounds liks Sam’s single and ready to mingle.

It almost seems sad.

E! Online Tuesday offered parts of an interview with Lindsay Lohan in which the young actress sounds off on recent stories in the celebrity media that have her out of money, out of work and out of a relationship with Samantha Ronson.

She complains: “If people would just leave my personal life alone — because it’s really not that interesting— then I could land a great role, but all the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting.”

She asks: “”If people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person that I am not and could never be.”

She pleads: “You have to make mistakes to learn so that you can grow up and live your life the right way. Things happen, and you have to move on, be strong and believe in yourself. It would be really nice if people would believe in me.”

Why sad? There is no doubt it’s not easy being hounded by the paparazzi and having your every move in a relationship scrutinized daily. But isn’t that what celebrities ask for when they seek stardom? Really? Sure they want the glamour and glitz, but with that comes the media glare. It always has, and celebrities know it.

Lindsay also says “”I just want to live the dream that I’ve worked so hard for since I was 4 years old. I’ve been through a lot in my life, and there are many things I’d like to do to let people know that they just have to be strong… I’d like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies/shows/videos, design clothes, make music, write books, etc.”

She adds, “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs and I don’t lie” and “My past is my past and it’s been a long one, but I’m growing more and learning more day by day.”

Is it time to give young Lindsay a break and, as she asks, believe in her?
