The National Enquirer is reporting that Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline are attending couple’s counseling in order to rebuild their broken relationship.
After the couple split, Britney fell into a downward spiral of partying, sex and mental illness. In the process she ended up losing custody of her two children, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2.
Enough time has gone by now where both Kevin and Britney are ready to pick up the pieces and put family first.
A source tells the magazine,

“Part of their therapy involves going on formal dates and Britney is so excited. She’s never stopped loving Kevin or hoping they’d get back together. Kevin still loves Britney too and if all goes well after six months of counseling they’ll move back in together with the boys.”

It’s long been rumored that Britney has yearned for a reunion with her ex, and now that enough time has passed, it seems both parties may be willing to give it another shot.
“Kevin’s always believed it would be best for the boys to be raised by both parents, and he and Jamie spent weeks looking for a counselor who suited both his and Britney’s personalities and could come to their homes.”
Britney has put her Beverly Hills home on the market in order to be closer to Kevin and the babies. The source added that if everything goes well, the family might end up living under one roof, just like old times. Then Kevin can get back to the important things in life - like spending Britney’s money.

Britney Spears says her sixth album will be out within nine months as the U.S. pop star seeks to rebound from troubling behavior and hospital stints for psychiatric evaluations.

In an interview with OK! magazine released on Wednesday, the 26-year-old says she has written more for the new album than her previous five studio albums, and describes it as having an “urban” feel.

“I’m writing every day, right here at the piano,” said Spears, one of the world’s most successful pop stars of the early 2000s. Her last album, “Blackout,” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 last November, but quickly slid down the chart.

Spears has given few interviews in recent years as her life spiraled out of control and she lost custody of her two sons.

Over the past 18 months she has been involved in an ugly divorce from Kevin Federline, entered rehab treatment several times, and exhibited erratic behavior like shaving her head and attacking a photographer’s car with an umbrella.

But in the past six months, her father Jamie Spears has taken over management of her affairs and she was also mentioned as a possible Emmy award nominee for guest appearances on U.S. TV series “How I Met Your Mother.”

When asked by OK! if she would like to do more acting, Spears said: “I’d love to, if I can find the right movie.”

“Actually, I have a part that just came up. We’re just trying to work it out with my schedule, with the children,” she said.

A court recently extended Jamie Spears control over his daughter’s affairs, which he shares with Los Angeles attorney Andrew Wallet, until the end of 2008.

Kevin Federline will “always love” his ex-wife Britney Spears and has promised to always “be there” when she needs him.

Federline, who has full custody of the former couple’s two sons, insists Spears will always be important to him as she is the mother of his children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 18 months.

The dancer/rapper also lavishes praise on his ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, who is mother to his two other children, Kori Madison, 6, and Kaleb Michael Jackson, 4.

He tells In Touch Weekly, “I will always love the mothers of my children, and I will always be there for both of them. I believe that any good energy I put out there brings more good energy into my own life. The relationships with my kids and family will last my whole life and are the most important to me.”

And Federline is determined that his children with Spears will grow up in a happy, stable environment.

He says, “Their needs define my schedule every day. It is so very important to me that my children will always know and never question, that no matter what happens, they have a mummy and daddy who love them very much.”

Federline was granted full physical custody of the boys last year after Spears failed to adhere to court-ordered medical tests. The troubled singer was also stripped of her visitation rights to her kids in January, but Federline and Spears have since agreed to a new deal that lets Spears have limited access to her children.

Beleaguered pop diva Britney Spears has turned to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for protection against an alleged stalker, who she said threatened to kill her. Britney requested the agency for protection after she reportedly received a number of letters, including one on how to make a bomb. Besides this, the singer was delivered several packages that contained sex toys, and notes on the Middle East and Israel.

“We have been looking at allegations that have cropped up in the past couple of months,” Contactmusic quoted a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman, as saying. A FBI spokesman said: “We cannot comment on ongoing investigations.”

Troubled singer Britney Spears was nearly evicted from her Malibu, California home last month, after falling two weeks behind on paying her rent.

Spears, who is currently fighting her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two children, reportedly failed to pay her $35,000 (€22,820) rent and a $2,100 (€1,369) late charge.

Spears’ landlord issued a letter dated 14 February to the official lessee, Love Shack Trust, warning the pop superstar to pay her rent or “surrender and deliver up possession of said premises”, according to TMZ.com.

The website claims Spears is now up-to-date with her rental payments.
