The first look at what life is like for Britney Spears in the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center was revealed through court papers released late yesterday.

In an extensive filing from Monday’s conservatorship court hearing over Spears, a declaration from Britney’s father, Jamie, describes his contact with the pop singer on February 3.

According to his declaration, Jamie, who is a cook, said he was unable to visit Britney in the hospital during the daytime on Sunday February 3 because he was “catering a large Super Bowl party.”
“While I was working, Britney called me on my cell phone at least four times. She called me about every twenty minutes,” his declaration continues.
In his declaration, Jamie claims Britney kept calling him and asking him why she was not at the hospital with her, despite his continued response of “Baby, Daddy’s got to work.”
The declaration further states that when Jamie finally got to the hospital, Britney turned away from her dad.

In his declaration, Jamie includes “I said to her, ‘I love you.’ Britney said, ‘No you don’t.”

As his declaration continues Jamie claims that Britney believes she is in the hospital because of her dad.

Even when confronted by the orders and a nurse telling her that it is the hospital who is keeping her within its walls.

Britney also appeared confused over her legal situation, according to Jamie’s declaration.

He said, “Britney told me that she had fired her lawyers and that she has new lawyers. I told her that she doesn’t have new lawyers with the kids. She told me, ‘No, I have new lawyers that will help me with my stuff.”

In Jamie’s declaration he also claims that Britney believes Sam Lutfi took property that belongs to her.

“Britney then told me that there was some property of hers that Sam Lutfi had wrongfully taken,” Jamie’s declaration reads. “She asked me to help her get it back. I told her that I would.”

Britney Spears is courting to reclaim her kids.

Sources close to the “Gimme More” singer confirm to E! News that Spears will appear in court Wednesday morning to ask a court commissioner to restore her visitation rights for her sons withKevin Federline, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

The emergency hearing was called by Spears’ attorneys at the behest of the 26-year-old entertainer and will come two days after she finally showed up for a deposition in her long-playing custody dispute with Federline. The next scheduled court date for the former wasn’t until Feb. 19.

Spears is expected to attend the 8:30 meeting along with manager Sam Lutfi, who accompanied her to the Monday session.

Los Angeles Court Commissioner Scott Gordon stripped Spears of visitation rights after she refused to return the boys at the prescribed time back on Jan. 3, leading to a tense standoff with police and, ultimately, her forced hospitalization. The children, who remain in the care of Federline, 29, have not seen their mom since.

According to TMZ, Spears will seek monitored visits with the boys in a “therapeutic setting.”

Meanwhile, Spears is expected to continue being deposed by Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan in the coming days.

Speaking to reporters on Monday evening, Kaplan said that he questioned Spears for about 40 minutes, even though she was present in his office for over two hours.

“We are going over things that are very, very gut-wrenching,” Kaplan told People. “It’s not something anyone would enjoy.”

Asked by Access Hollywood if he believed Spears would be able to see her children soon, the attorney said, “There are certain things that have to be done by her in order to make everyone comfortable—and to answer any unresolved questions so that we don’t have to worry about anything that occurred a few weeks ago.

“She is not the enemy. She is not being viewed as the enemy, and what is being done, even though it may be unpopular with her, is to make sure that she can be a full participant going forward in the future.”

Britney Spears can’t see kids

A judge on Monday refused to restore Britney Spears’ right to visit her two sons, a court spokesman said, after the troubled pop star showed up outside court but never made it into the hearing.

Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon left in place a ruling that barred Spears from visiting with her young sons at least until another hearing on February 19, lawyers for her ex-husband Kevin Federline said outside court.

Gordon issued the original order earlier this month, after police were summoned to the troubled pop star’s home when she became distraught and refused to return the boys to Federline’s representatives.

Spears, 26, was taken away on a stretcher and hospitalized for two days.

She arrived hours late for Monday’s hearing and was mobbed by photographers as she stepped out of a sport utility vehicle outside the downtown Los Angeles courthouse.

But instead of heading into the building where the hearing was under way with Federline in the courtroom, Spears climbed quickly back in the car and drove off again.

“Move back, I’m scared. Stop it. Stop it. I want to get back in the car. Just stop it. Let me get in the car, please!” Spears shouted at photographers, according to the celebrity Web site TMZ.com.

It was the latest in a series of strange episodes involving Spears since she divorced Federline in late 2006. She lost custody of their two sons, 1-year-old Jayden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston, last year.

The incident in early January that led to Spears’ hospitalization prompted Gordon to suspend her visitation rights with the children until Monday’s hearing — which legal experts considered critical for Spears to attend.

She did not show up for a morning session, and made her brief appearance outside the courthouse after a noon break.

The hearing was closed to the press and public, but Federline, his hair styled into a Mohawk, was seen coming and going.

His attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said outside court that Federline’s wish was “that he could one day parent both of these children with the mother.”

He said Spears was not required to attend the hearing and her brief appearance outside court did not affect the ruling by the judge, who took testimony from five witnesses.

Spears became a teen pop phenomenon nine years ago, and enjoyed a brief comeback in October with her new single, “Gimme More” and an album, “Blackout,” which briefly hit No. 2 on U.S. pop album charts before falling off.
