Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland has labelled her former bandmate Beyonce Knowles a “slob”.

The 26-year-old told music website urbanplanet.co.uk that touring with the hugely successful three-piece became nightmarish because of the slovenly habits of Beyonce and Michelle Williams.

Though Rowland refused to rule out the chance of a Destiny’s Child reunion, her comments suggest she is delighted to be touring solo, ahead of the release of her new album Ms Kelly.

“They’re both slobs,” she explained. “We would get on a tour bus and they’d flick off their shoes. And I’d be like, ‘No! That’s the corner for shoes!’

“I’m a neat freak. I make them crazy,” she added.

Rowland, who sold over 100 million records with Destiny’s Child, admitted to feeling frustration at continual comparisons with her glamorous bandmate, saying: “People should respect me in my own solo right.”

The singer also rubbished recent rumours that she’s been dating Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates.

Rowland has been linked with Yates while promoting her new single Work but laughed off the claims, saying the former Top of the Pops presenter isn’t her type.

“He’s not tall, dark and handsome! He’s tall, bright, and… I guess cute? Reggie’s more like a friend. We were just hanging out at a party and exchanged information,” she said.

“I’ve been linked to three British men here,” she continued. “And it’s ok because you know it happens, I’m gonna be linked with someone else by the end of the year. Who cares?”

Rowland also admitted that while she loves the Destiny’s Child smash Say My Name, the songs Bootylicious and Bug A Boo became further reasons to look forward to a solo career.

Snipes Defense Calls It a Day

Wesley Snipes‘ federal tax-evasion trial wasn’t quite as taxing as expected for the actor’s defense team.

Lawyers representing the star in his tax-dodging case, which could potentially see him sent to prison through 2024, unexpectedly rested their case Monday morning without calling a single witness—big name or otherwise—to testify in the trial.

Snipes’ legal team, led by Robert Barnes, rested its case after just one hour in the courtroom. The prosecution, by contrast, spent the past two weeks arguing their case for the jury and only rested on Friday.

Barnes & Co. explained their no-defense tactic by claiming the prosecution’s case was so weak, they bore the “complete failure of their burden.”

“We could have called a bunch of Hollywood stars,” Snipes attorney Robert Bernhoft said, adding that the decision not to call any of Tinseltown’s finest to testify was only made Sunday night after a closer examination of the prosecution’s case.

“We could have put on a big show, but we don’t do that. We’re not going to waste the jury’s time.”

LOS ANGELES — Britney Spears’ friend Sam Lutfi told Barbara Walters in a phone call over the weekend that the pop star has been to a psychiatrist for “mental issues which are treatable,” Walters said Monday on “The View.”

Lutfi, described by Walters as Spears’ “manager and very good friend,” also said that Spears has been suffering from mood swings and has had trouble sleeping.

Lutfi also told Walters that Spears is in touch with her mother — who arrived in Los Angeles Sunday night — and that she has been very supportive.

NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly says that Mary-Kate Olsen won’t be interviewed in connection with the death of Heath Ledger

Internet and print reports have insisted that MK would be questioned by cops, insinuating that Ledger’s masseuse, Diana Wolozin, called her to hatch a plan to hide illegal drugs in Heath’s apartment. If that were true, we’re told, cops would have to interview Olsen, but as TMZ has reported, that simply isn’t the case.

‘Meet The Spartans’ Kicks ‘Rambo’ Into A Box-Office Pit

 Box-Office Top Five#1 “Meet the Spartans” ($18.7 million)#2 “Rambo” ($18.5 million)#3 “27 Dresses” ($13.6 million)#4 “Cloverfield” ($12.7 million)#5 “Untraceable” ($11.2 million)

It was a sequel 20 years in the making, but “Rambo” couldn’t live up to the hype as “Meet the Spartans” drew “First Blood” at the box office, taking in $18.7 million to win the weekend. After last year’s “Epic Movie,” the “300″ parody is the second consecutive spoof flick from the writing and directing team of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer to come in at #1. And the best part? It’s just in time for Oscar season!

“Rambo” was just a tick behind with $18.5 million in its first week. But while Sylvester Stallone was counting dollars and cents for the franchise’s first installment since 1988, we were counting words and deaths. As in, which were there more of in “Rambo”? My money’s on deaths.

Speaking of deaths (this is why I’m a writer, people — smooth transitions), “Cloverfield” dropped like the Statue of Liberty’s head, falling 68.3 percent in its second weekend to come in fourth place with just $12.7 million. It’s the biggest second-week drop in history for a movie that made over $20 million in its first week, and just a shade off the biggest second-week drop for any movie. Sorry J.J. — the secret’s out: If “Cloverfield” ends its run short of a $100 million haul, it’ll be the movie with the biggest-ever debut to do so. Monstrous indeed.

Proving there’s nothing quite like counterprogramming, “27 Dresses” continued to impress in its second weekend, earning $13.6 million for a third-place finish. “Untraceable,” the weekend’s other big new release came in fifth place with $11.2 million.
