longtime co-host of “Dancing With the Stars,” will not be returning to the hit ABC reality series when its 10th season premieres March 22, reports People.com.

Harris, who has hosted alongside Tom Bergeron on “DWTS” for the last eight seasons, said she was leaving the show to focus on her other gigs, including her recently expanded correspondent duties on the infotainment show “The Insider.”

According to the story, “DWTS” executive producer Conrad Green said he has already begun the search to find Harris’ replacement, spurring an Internet frenzy as to who has the right stuff to take over the co-host’s duties.

Some made a case for Season 2 winner Drew Lachey, who filled in for Harris while she was on maternity leave. Others suggested Paula Abdul. And there’s always the lovable Miss Piggy, who famously elbowed Harris out of the spotlight at the end of last

Donny Osmond is the new champion of “Dancing With the Stars.”

Osmond took home the show’s mirror ball trophy Tuesday in the season finale of the ABC contest reality program. Osmond, the former teen pop star of the singing Osmond family, says the show has been highlight in his career.

He bested the singer Mya, who some expected to win. She had the highest scores going into the finale.

Three celebrities remained heading into the finale of the show’s ninth season. Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne, was the first eliminated.

Former Congressman Tom DeLay also returned Tuesday. DeLay had to withdraw from the show in the third week due to injury.

Winners of “Dancing With the Stars” are chosen by a combination of scores from judges and votes from viewers.

After suffering stress fractures in both feet, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay will not be able to continue on “Dancing with the Stars.”

The former politician announced the news on Tuesday night’s results show, saying that when he woke up this morning, his “feet were saying, ‘What did you do last night?’”

He sadly reported that he is unable to practice due to his injury, and said: “If you can’t practice, you make a fool out of yourself out here, and I don’t want to do that to [my partner] Cheryl [Burke].”

Host Tom Bergeron invited DeLay to come back and do the Texas Two-Step in the finale, if his feet are up to it at that point.

Bergeron also said that since it had already been announced earlier in the show that DeLay and Burke did not have the lowest score, the couple who did have the lowest score would still be sent home. Keep checking back here to find out which second couple goes home Tuesday night!

ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” premiering on Monday, Sept. 21, has just released its celebrity-dancer pairings for the ninth season.

Tom DeLay, who shocked nation by signing on for “DWTS,” will be hoofing it with Cheryl Burke, a two-time champion.

Debi Mazar, of “Entourage,” has veteran Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her partner.

Kelly Osbourne is with Louis van Amstel (fifth season) while Donny Osmond is paired with Kym Johnson (seventh season.

Teen idol Aaron Carter will be twirling it with Karina Smirnoff, who’s back for her seventh season.

Grammy winner Macy Gray is dancing with Jonathan Roberts, now in his seventh season as well.

The television actress Melissa Joan Hart will be swept up in the arms of two-time champ Mark Ballas.

Comedian Ashley Hamilton will stepping out with Edyta Sliwinska, the only professional to have competed in all nine seasons.

Model Kathy Ireland is with Tony Dovolani, now in his eight outing.

The model Joanna Krupa makes rhythm with Season 7 champion Derek Hough.

Singer Mya is with Dmitry Chaplin in his second season on the show.

Natalie Coughlin, Olympic champion swimmer, teams with dancing champion Alec Mazo from Season 1.

Michael Irvin, NFL hall of famer, is with the only pro newcomer, Anna Demidova, who won the tryout.

Ultimate fighter Chuck Liddell is making his moves with four-season pro Anna Trebunskaya.

Last, professional snowboarder, Louie Vito joins Chelsea Hightower in her second season.

The announcement ends weeks of speculation on the Web as to who would be hitting the floor on “DWTS.”
