It almost seems sad.

E! Online Tuesday offered parts of an interview with Lindsay Lohan in which the young actress sounds off on recent stories in the celebrity media that have her out of money, out of work and out of a relationship with Samantha Ronson.

She complains: “If people would just leave my personal life alone — because it’s really not that interesting— then I could land a great role, but all the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting.”

She asks: “”If people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person that I am not and could never be.”

She pleads: “You have to make mistakes to learn so that you can grow up and live your life the right way. Things happen, and you have to move on, be strong and believe in yourself. It would be really nice if people would believe in me.”

Why sad? There is no doubt it’s not easy being hounded by the paparazzi and having your every move in a relationship scrutinized daily. But isn’t that what celebrities ask for when they seek stardom? Really? Sure they want the glamour and glitz, but with that comes the media glare. It always has, and celebrities know it.

Lindsay also says “”I just want to live the dream that I’ve worked so hard for since I was 4 years old. I’ve been through a lot in my life, and there are many things I’d like to do to let people know that they just have to be strong… I’d like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies/shows/videos, design clothes, make music, write books, etc.”

She adds, “I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs and I don’t lie” and “My past is my past and it’s been a long one, but I’m growing more and learning more day by day.”

Is it time to give young Lindsay a break and, as she asks, believe in her?

John Mayer made a speedy exit from Gallery 1988 in LA recently - after hearing ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson would be there.

Mayer - who is now dating Jennifer Aniston - showed up solo to support pal Pete Wentz’s art effort “Without You I’m Just Me”.

But he ditched out early upon hearing Jess - who he dated for about nine months, beginning in the middle of 2006 - would be making an appearance.

A source tells the New York Daily News, “John showed up early for the public viewing and took pictures with fans, but left before the VIP portion of the evening started.

“He wanted to be there for Pete, but wanted more to avoid the possibility of a dramatic encounter with Jess.”

Alyssa Milano has filed for a restraining order against Jeff Turner, a 54 year-old Santa Cruz resident saying he is ‘an obsessed and mentally unstable celebrity stalker fan.’

The motion, filed Friday accuses Turner of ‘increasingly threatening behavior’, including ‘obsessively’ attempting to contact Milano, 34, star of ‘Charmer’, even hiking miles to reach her home in Ventura County.

The court papers also suggest Turner has broken into Milano’s home, and though she does not know him, fears for the personal safety of her family and friends. The actress also seeks protection for her parents, Tom and Lin Milano and brother - Cory Milano.

Just last month we Jennifer Garner, star of ‘Alias’ was also compelled to seek a court-ordered reprimand against a lovelorn television owner, who simply couldn’t fathom life away from her.

Turner has been ordered to stay 100-yards from Milano and her family’s homes, workplaces, and vehicles. A 21st January 2009 hearing is schedule for the temporary restraining order.

Ashlee Simpson has posted a blog on her official MySpace about motherhood and the birth of her son Bronx Mowgli, sneaking in a cheeky plug for her husband’s new album at the same time.  Read the post after the jump.

“Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday!

I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx’s godfather Travis’ artshow. It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support.

I hope you guys have a great holiday, I can’t wait to spend it with my new family. Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!
