Those who heard Eamon's huge urban hit "F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)" and suspected that he would prove to be a one-hit wonder need only give a cursory listen to I DON'T WANT YOU BACK to hear that the New York-based singer is a genuine talent. With a surprisingly soulful vocal style that recalls early R&B crooners such as Frankie Lymon, Eamon details the myriad of ways in which he simultaneously enjoys and despises women, all over old-school minimalist beats and spare samples that give the lyrics added grit. Though his vitriol often makes Eminem's rants seem tame, Eamon's undeniably catchy combination of 1950s/'60s soul and gangsta rap places the artist among hip-hop's more intriguing modern acts.
SECOND SINGLE - I LOVE THEM HO'S
SOLO - ITALIAN VERSION OF "F**K IT"
SECOND ALBUM - LOVE & PAIN
Eamon says his new set will reveal how much he's grown since his 2004 debut "I Don't Want You Back".
The singer/ songwriter recorded "Love & Pain" with the help from producers Milk Dee - who produced a large part of the debut album, including the hit "F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back)" - along with Jeff Smith, Needlz of 50 Cent’s fame and executive producer, Nat Robinson. Eamon takes a lighter approach to the subject of relationships this time around. Eamon says, "My delivery [on this album] is more mature, more the view of a young adult going through love and pain." He adds, yet life is good, "My goal is for as many people to hear my music as possible. I want people to enjoy my music and know that I’m here to stay. I want everybody to be able to relate when they hear this record."
3rd SINGLE - (HOW COULD YOU) BRING HIM HOME
MAKING OF THE "HOW COULD YOU" VIDEO
The new video "(How Could You) Bring Him Home", directed by Lenny Bass, is the first from Eamon's new
album, "Love & Pain". The track was produced by Happy Perez (Frankie J), Jeff Smith and Milk Dee (from First Priority Music). Eamon gives a heart-felt testimony on "How Could You," which deals with the pain of betrayal. Eamon says, "I think it’s a perfect follow up [to "F**k It"] and the people [Jud Mahoney, Nina Woodford, Zach Charlton, and James Earp] who wrote it for me hit it right on the head. I couldn’t have [written] it any better."

JIVE RECORDS/ ZOMBA NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK SINGER, SONGWRITER, ARTIST
EAMON WAS BORN ON SEPTEMBER 19. 1983 IN STATEN ISLAND/ NEW YORK. HIS FATHER, WALTER, WAS A MEMBER OF A DOO-WOP GROUP, WHICH PLAYED OLD SONGS FROM THE '50s & '60s. HIS FATHER IS A COUNSELOR, WHO DOES HIS PRATICE PRIVATELY AND HE IS IRISH. EAMON's MOTHER IS A NURSE IN STATEN ISLAND AND SHE IS ITALIAN. EAMON ALSO HAS 2 SIBLINGS: AN OLDER BROTHER, NAMED JUSTIN AND AN OLDER SISTER, NAMED MONIQUE.
EAMON HAS BEEN RECORDING SINCE THE AGE OF 9, PERFORMING WITH HIS FATHER's DOO-WOP GROUP, "EAMON AND THE ELATIONS". WITH 15 HE BROKE UP FROM SCHOOL AND WORKED AT HIP-HOP WRITER/PRODUCER MILK DEE (KIRK ROBINSON)'s STUDIO. WHEN HE FOUND OUT FROM HIS FRIENDS THAT HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS CHEATING ON HIM, HE WROTE A SONG ABOUT THIS LOSS AND PAIN. HE WAS ONLY 16 YEARS OLD WHEN HE WROTE HIS FIRST SINGLE! MILK DEE NOTICED EAMON's TALENT, SO EAMON STARTED TO RECORD A DEMO FOR THE "F**K IT" SONG AND SENT IT TO RECORD LABELS. EVENTUALLY HE GOT A CONTRACT WITH JIVE RECORDS AND STARTED TO RECORD THE SINGLE "F**K IT" AND HIS DEBUT ALBUM "I DON'T WANT YOU BACK".
Less than a decade later, he was filling stadiums around the world with now-generation hip-hop flavored anthems, charged by his own woman-done-me-wrong global smash “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back).” His term for the unique blend of influences: “HO-WOP” - “There’s a lot more similarity between Doo-Wop and Hip-Hop than most people would think,” says Eamon (pronounced Ae-Mon). “They both started out on street corners - whether it was these doo-wop guys in the ‘50s and ‘60s or folks free styling in the ‘80s and ‘90s - as a genuine way for young people to express what they were feeling. I’ve experienced both sides; I feel like an old-school dude in a young person’s body.”
At 24, Eamon still has plenty of vim and in-your-face vigor that authenticates his Staten Island, N.Y., roots - but he has also matured as a singer, punctuating his everyman point of view with a more thoughtful lyrical approach and a dexterous musical template that will surprise those who dared to consider him a one-trick pony. “A lot of songs the last time were recorded when I was 16 to 19,” says Eamon. “When I wrote ‘F**k It’, I felt hurt and I think it hit a spot in people who weren’t used to a guy that had the nerve to express himself like that. I’m just like everybody else… I’m just telling it straight from the heart. People go through break-ups every day and that’s the way they really talk. They might have been shocked, and maybe I wouldn’t make the effort to be as offensive this time, but it’s on point with the realness, you know?”
“I Don’t Want You Back” appeared an unlikely bid for radio success with its middle-finger send-off to a girl who was caught cheating (with its unforgettable refrain: “F**k what I said, it don’t mean s**t now/F**k the presents, might as well throw ‘em out/F**k all those kisses, it didn’t mean jack/F**k you, you ho, I don’t want you back”). In the U.S., the track spent nine weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales and hit the top 10 at both Top 40 and rhythmic radio in 2003. The song sold 4 million singles worldwide and the accompanying debut album, “I Don’t Want You Back,” was certified gold.
Overseas, the story grew even bigger. Eamon’s message vowed the world, scoring gold or platinum status in Italy, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Norway and Switzerland. In Europe, he received the Festival Bar award in 2004 as the most successful international artist of the year. According to Top40-charts.com, Eamon had the most-played song of the year, based on a worldwide sample of 2,650 top 40 playlist charts throughout 2004.
Eamon also holds a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for "The Most Expletives in a #1 Song" for his single "F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)". Eamon is featured in the 2006 edition book with a top-of-the-page plug of his 2004 album cover!
