Lindsay Lohan’s third album is entitled “Spirit in the Dark” and is set to hit shelves in November.

Christopher “Tricky” Stewart has written and produced two tracks for Lindsay’s album, “Washing My Hands” and “Problem Solver”.

BFF Samantha Ronson has been previewing some of Lindsay’s tracks at her latest gigs:

Sam, a DJ on the celebrity party circuit, aired songs from Lohan’s latest offering to an audience featuring stars such as Billy Zane and Tyrese at an exclusive July 4 party at TAO Beach, Vegas.

As the worlds press speculates about the nature of their relationship, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are going about their business.

Sam continues to enhance her reputation as a top DJ on the celeb party circuit and Lindsay has put the finishing touches on her 3rd studio album – ‘Spirit In The Dark’.

So it’s not surprising then that Ms Ronson previewed a couple of tracks from the album – which features Pharrell, Snoop and Akon – at her latest gig in Las Vegas.

The lucky partygoers to hear the new LiLo material – including Shannon Elizabeth, Billy Zane and Tyrese - were at an exclusive Fourth of July bash at TAO Beach in the grounds of the Venetian hotel and casino.

As well as the new tunes, the high rollers were enjoying TAO’s premium cabanas complete with Xbox, bar and flat screen TV’s.

Concert promoter Live Nation has dismissed reports they are struggling to shift tickets to Madonna’s forthcoming world tour, stating fans have turned out in record numbers for a chance to see the superstar in concert.

The pop legend signed a money-spinning deal with Live Nation earlier this year, which will net her an estimated $120 million over the next 10 years.

However, reports in the New York Post suggested the singer was struggling to entice fans to see her Sticky and Sweet tour, with tickets failing to sell-out at certain venues.

But Live Nation refutes the claims, insisting over one million fans have already bought tickets to see the Material Girl star perform.

And the company is so sure they have a hit on their hands, they have announced that Madonna is set to smash her own record for the highest earning touring female artist, looking set to earn $55 million more than she did for her 2006 Confessions on a Dancefloor tour.

The healthy ticket sales for Madonna’s tour allows the company to sigh a breath of relief after facing a barrage of speculation this month over whether they had overpaid to sign certain artists.

As well working in partnership with Madonna, Live Nation has signed groundbreaking multi-million tour and promotion deals with rockers U2 and hip hop heavyweight Jay-Z

Among the other celebrities and performers were Annie Lennox; Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith; Leona Lewis; Razorlight; British Prime Minister Gordon Brown; and Sugababes, the Mail reported. Members of Queen closed the show with “We Are the Champions.”

Well, as MTV Networks Music Group president Van Toffler put it: “Everyone deserves a second or third chance, right?”

Yes, despite the debacle of Britney Spears writhing half-heartedly in a black bikini at last September’s Video Music Awards, MTV has said that she’s welcome back to perform at this year’s show in Los Angeles. Although, erm, Van Toffler was apparently “sorta” kidding.

“Who knows?” he said. Cryptically. Men, eh?

According to OK! magazine, producers and crew members are already planning the awards night - but Van knows they have their work cut out for them.”I’m not sure how we top Britney opening the show,” he says. ”We are working on it every minute of every day.”

Well, if you can’t top Britney - sounds like it has to be Britney. Doesn’t it? Or do I not quite get showbiz?
