I've learned that if you speak your mind and always be honest you'll have more enemies than you could believe...
I have also learned that apologies don't come from weak people.
I've been a songwriter and musician since first playing guitar aged 13. When I'm not repairing fences, digging ditches, or attending to bricks and mortar I'm either writing songs or messing about with my beloved motorbike.
I'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne, a city with a history of ship building and coal mining in the heart of North East England, a few miles south of the English/Scottish border. I'm the son of a coal industry man. My up-bringing was tough but loving. I know what it's like to be loved and I know what it's like to get my arse kicked. In amongst mucking in with the daily chores I taught myself to play the guitar...it is now completely a part of me.
I'm first a songwriter, and second a performer, but when I do perform I don't think anyone is let down. I don't think I'm especially radical or outspoken but I really, truly don't give a shit what anyone thinks of me or my music, I do it for me, and for me alone, I don't get a penny for it...I just LOVE that guitar!
Oh yeah...lurve songs, I write them occasionally, but I've got a lot more to say so they're few and far between.
