“American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert tweeted Wednesday (Dec. 2), “Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE.
don’t blame them. It’s the FCC heat.”
Apparently booting him off “Good Morning America” was not enough for ABC. Lambert’s appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and (we presume) “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” have been canceled. You’d think Seacrest would have some sway there, maybe Dick Clark the stickler? Who knows.
Lambert assures us that he is still doing Leno and he’s looking into something to do for New Year’s Eve. CBS doesn’t traditionally have a New Year’s Eve show, but perhaps “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly” would have Lambert. We’re confident he’ll have no problem lining up a gig.
