The singer’s eagerly anticipated comeback is being held off a little longer to ensure the to-be-released song is “as great as possible”.
Britney Spear’s new single and comeback mechanism ‘Womanizer’ was set to air for the first time on US radio on Monday, September 29, 2008, but record bosses have decided to hold it back because they worry it’s not good enough yet to be a hit. A source said: “The label held the song back to make it as great as possible.”
Several days ago an unfinished version of the 26-year-old’s single was leaked on the internet when a video of Britney rehearsing the song in an L.A. studio was posted on YouTube. According to reports, fans’ reaction to the song were worse than expected, which has led Britney’s team to decide to return to the studio to improve it.
